Don't let my lapse in blogging set you back - we've been going strong at the wine shop & wine bar. This latest blog is a recap on our first wine dinner at the wine shop, An Italian Feast with a seven year vertical of Oddero Barolos from 1995-2001.
21 fabulous customers of mine walked into a dazzling shop transformed for the evening; candlelit, classy, warm, and relaxing - ready for the evening. We started with a glass of 2004 Soligo Prosecco; great conversation began immediately. Earl Cramer-Brown, our Oddero Barolo expert, then started us on the tasting - we sampled seven wines from Oddero Winery, all Barolo's from their estate vineyard, dating back to the late 1800's. While learning and sipping on these fantastic wines, food was abundant. The antipasta course was laid out by Kinley and Juri of Sbandati Personal Chef.
After the tasting, we began our wine dinner - 5 courses paired with different vintage Barolo's.
The whole event was captured beautifully by our esteemed guest, Leigh Brown, who writes for Travel Oregon. Read her account of the wine dinner.
It was an incredible event, and we look forward to hosting our next!
